Brand new. As good as new. Better than new. What\u2019s new with you? He makes all things new. A New life In Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"if-you-haven-t-guessed-yet-this-article-has-to-do-with-new\">If you haven\u2019t guessed yet, this article has to do with new.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>New, as defined in the dictionary, is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>New: not existing before; made, introduced, or discovered recently or now for the first time.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People experience all kinds of feelings when they encounter newness. Excitement, anticipation, worry, and hesitation are just a few. Some like the idea of shiny and new. Some fear the unknown of that which is new.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Where do you fall on the spectrum? I\u2019m sure it depends on the situation. My personal checklist for the love or hate of something new would look something like this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>New shoes? YAY<\/li><li>New change to my schedule? Eh\u2026 :\/<\/li><li>New restaurant in town? Yahoo!<\/li><li>New co-worker at work? Um\u2026not sure yet<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The pattern I see with my reactions is that non-threatening new is always exciting, but anything that holds any level of threat to my current comfort or security is cause to pause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"a-new-life-in-christ\">A New Life In Christ<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-rounded\"><figure class=\"alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/womendevotions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/a-new-life-through-christ-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"a new life through christ\" class=\"wp-image-1859\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Yet God says in His word in <a href=\"https:\/\/biblia.com\/bible\/esv\/Isa%2043.19\">Isaiah 43:19<\/a>, \u201cBehold I\u2019m doing a new thing\u201d. Then He follows it with \u201cdon\u2019t you perceive it? Don\u2019t you see it coming? I\u2019m making a way.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No matter where you are in your walk with our Lord, He is always doing something new. Why? Because He always working on drawing people to Him\u2026 and sometimes that\u2019s gonna involve us and rock our world a bit. Sometimes it\u2019s exciting and super fun. Sometimes, we grip something tight and eek a little bit but we gotta trust Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I know that for me anyway, even in seasons of humdrum, security, certainty, I can always feel the \u201cnew\u201d bubbling under the surface. It\u2019s always coming. But I can trust God because I know the reason for new is \u201cHe\u2019s making a way\u201d. A way for me? Maybe. A way for others? Probably. A way for what? I don\u2019t know but I know it always leads to glorifying Him and I\u2019m always on board with that. Are you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"a-daily-dose-of-new\">A Daily Dose of New<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Today I&#8217;m thinking about new because I&#8217;m about to put out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/asmymindunwinds\/photos\/pcb.1422945084749896\/1422945001416571\/\">a new book<\/a> with my dear friend, <a href=\"https:\/\/pearlsandpursuit.com\/\">Megan Monterrosa<\/a>. Why? Because God has birthed something NEW in the hearts of many people and I hope to be their friend along the way. This book will hopefully be the companion many are looking for as they begin their journey with Christ and others.
